Adobe Creative Suite 6 Launch – High Value and Affordable Price!

In case you missed the BIG NEWS, … today Adobe Systems officially launched the ultimate toolkit for design, web, and video professionals – the Adobe® Creative Suite® 6 and the Adobe Creative Cloud! This highly anticipated release included 14 updated applications and four Creative Suites including the Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium, Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design Standard, Adobe Creative Suite 6 Production Premium, and Adobe Creative Suite 6 Master Collection. The release of the new Creative Suite 6 was amplified by the parallel release of the subscription-based offering of the Adobe Creative Cloud.

After the launch today we confirmed that the Creative Cloud will provide users with the ability to download and install every Adobe CS6 application. Creative Cloud also integrates Adobe Touch Apps into your workflow, introduces cloud-based sync and store capabilities, and also includes web hosting, TypeKit, Edge, and Adobe Muse. This is exciting news, but the most anticipated news was the pricing for the new Creative Suite 6. This brings good news and more good news!

We were very happy to confirm that Adobe has launched an entirely new way of purchasing the CS6 and the Creative Cloud. This subscription service gives you access to all of CS6 apps, for a monthly fee of $49.99 ($29.99 for current licensed CS3, CS4, and CS5 customers). This brings the creative opportunities to an entirely new level with high value and attractive pricing. If you are still interested in box version pricing, this option is still on the table and you can see a full comparison of feature sets and pricing at the Adobe Creative Suite 6 Buying Guide site.

Adobe Creative Suite CS6

The new Creative Suite drives its speed and performance benefits from Adobe’s Mercury graphic engine, which takes advantage of the graphics processors found within today’s PCs and Macs to speed up image processing. The new version of Adobe Photoshop boasts Lightning fast screen redraw of complex gradients, gaussian blurs, and rendering effects as well as unprecedented speed and responsiveness during real-time image editing (Liquify, Puppet-Warp).

Illustrator CS6 boasts new image tracing and pattern creation tools and in this new version you can create complex variable width gradient strokes in with ease. Quickly accomplish daily tasks in a modern, streamlined interface. Tools, panels, and controls are still where you expect them, but daily tasks take fewer steps and your interactions are faster and more direct. With continuous control of interface brightness, you can match the look of other Adobe design tools. Panel updates include expandable color-sampling areas and hex-value editing in the Color panel. You can edit names of layers, styles, and swatches directly in the panel, and the Character panel shows previously hidden options.

Premiere Pro CS6 gets a similar speedup, along with expanded multicam capability, new trimming tools, and native support for new digital cinema cameras. You now have the ability to work without interruption in After Effects, Premiere Pro, and throughout Production Premium CS6. Combined with Transmit I/O, the application is more suited than ever to the professional editing suite. A new addition, Prelude lets you get started selecting shots and creating a rough cut, while SpeedGrade finishes the project, allowing you to craft the perfect look.

With the updated support for the jQuery mobile and Phonegap frameworks, Dreamweaver CS6 allows you to build native applications for the iOS, Android, Blackberry, webOS and Symbian platforms leveraging HTML, CSS and Javascript. Dreamweaver’s Live View feature is based on Webkit, and this release supports the most current Webkit version which means it supports the latest HTML5 capabilities – cross-browser consistency, text-shadow renders, etc.

Photoshop CS6 is unmatched in its ability to help you bring your creative visions to life. Experience imaging magic and realize your creativity in exciting ways—all while achieving peak performance. Create videos directly within Photoshop CS6 using footage from your DSLR and other cameras. Edit raw image files with state-of-the-art tools. Use filters and editing controls to make your images look just the way you want. Create amazing panoramas. Remove image content, and then use Content-Aware technology to magically fill in the space left behind. Paint with a natural feel and realistic results. And maximize your hardware investment with cross-platform 64-bit support and the new Mercury Graphics Engine, which delivers blazing-fast interactions in key editing tools. Make your visions reality with the state-of-the-art imaging capabilities in Photoshop CS6.

Adobe Photoshop CS6 Video

Flash Professional CS6 gets new “sprite sheets” for game development, the ability to build hardware-accelerated 2D content with the Starling framework, and to build apps prepackaged with the Adobe AIR runtime. With support for the Toolkit for CreateJS extension, designers and animators can export their assets to HTML5/JavaScript using Grant Skinner’s open source CreateJS framework. This allows your animations to run on any HTML5 compatible browser on desktop, tablet and mobile devices.

Adobe Flash CS6 for Mobile

InDesign CS6 introduces the new Adaptive Design Tools (Liquid Layout, alternate layout, linked content, and the Content Collector tools) that will radically change the way you work—allowing you to more easily leverage and adapt page layouts for the myriad print pages, devices and screens for which content now needs to be designed.

All-in, this is the most compelling upgrade offer in the history of the Adobe Creative Suite. Adobe has indicated that not everything will be available at first, but most of what was presented in the launch webcast will be available by the fall, and, of course, CS6 is included from the initial subscription download. While there was no mention of the exact date that the Creative Suite 6 and Creative Cloud would be available, we are guesstimating that the initial subscription service will be available within the next 30 days. You can sign in now to see if you qualify for the special offer of $29.99/month and get ready to take your creativity to the next level!
